In Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore & Walsh’s Pharmacy, Loughrea we have a dedicated team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to administer and give feedback on Food Intolerance Tests.
Unlike food allergies (symptoms appear immediately) food intolerance symptoms can take several hours, or even day, to appear. This delay can cause confusion in figuring out which food is causing the problem. Sinusitis, irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion, arthritis, eczema, acne, asthma, recurring cystitis, migraines/headaches and hayfever are some of the illnesses and complaints that have an association with food intolerance. Walsh’s Pharmacy has a Food Intolerance Testing service that will pinpoint which foods are causing you difficulty.
This is a laboratory based test using new state-of-the-art microarray test technology meaning that foods are tested individually (instead of in groups) and each food receives its individual IgG antibody score.
A simple pin-prick blood test administered by our pharmacist or pharmacy technician can test for the following:
- Food Intolerance Testing 1: covers 60 of the most common foods known to cause food intolerance (Cost: €165.00)
- Food Intolerance Testing 2: covers 93 different foods (offers a very comprehensive result – Cost: €255)
- Food Intolerance Testing 3: covers 200 different foods (offers the most comprehensive result – Cost: €340)
This service is available in both Oranmore and Loughrea. We also include a follow-up feedback session to discuss your results. It is suggested that a wide range of foods, including foods suspected of causing intolerance, are eaten within 3 weeks prior to being tested. If you suspect that you have an intolerance to one of the food items in your diet, then phone us today to make your appointment. Why suffer needlessly when a simple change in diet can change your life?
