The real key to preventing heart disease is to use a combined approach, one that treats all facets of your physical and emotional health. It’s extremely important to eat real foods (avoid as much processed foods or foods high in sugar/trans fats as you can) and to get out and exercise regularly. Just 15 minutes a day of exercise has been proven to extend your lifespan. Another fact is that too much stress and negative emotions will contribute significantly to heart disease, so it is important to address the stress in your life, either by finding a way to make changes that addressing the stress-causing situation (external), and/or internally learning how to deal with stress through exercise, mediation, counselling, etc. – even reciting the Rosary or engaging in a yoga mantra.
